Method and cautions
- Comparison total = base sponsorship fee + additional production + usage rights + other included costs. Use the same tax treatment for every proposal.
- Cost per deliverable = comparison total ÷ deliverable count. Different formats and lengths are not necessarily equivalent deliverables.
- Expected CPM = comparison total ÷ comparison view estimate × 1,000. Estimate views using the same observation period and content format.
- A lower CPM does not make a proposal a better fit by itself. Review target audience, message fit, revisions, publication retention, and usage rights too.
